Remember this post? Well, I did it and went to my first ever sewing and craft-making workshop last Saturday. I must say that it was a bit nerve-wrecking in the beginning (I was a tad late!) and I couldn't help but felt slightly inadequate when I first started out but eventually everything went well. The class was great- we made cushion covers, tote bags and stamping fabrics. I really enjoyed that stamping bit the most! It was also fun to meet people with similar interest, and be able to talk about arts and craft-making.
Here is a peek at the finished stamped tote bag. I must say that it's not the prettiest (not really a fan of green tote bags *winks*) and my sewing skills are in dire need of massive-scale improvements! I carved my own stamp though, a double triangles. I used the same stamp and color for my cushion cover but with a different stamping design. Will share picture of that later. Can't wait for the second workshop this coming Saturday- it's going to be tie-dye! I hope I'll be able to do a better job at sewing this time *heee..My husband joined me afterwards and we had early dinner at Wondermilk. Had 2 servings of s'mores- they are so good!
